Barrister, Solicitor, Notary

Jonathan obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto with honours and later received his law degree at the University of Ottawa, graduating cum laude.

Following his Call to the Bar in 1998, Jonathan initially worked for the Law Society of Upper Canada, the organization that regulates and oversees all lawyers in Ontario. He subsequently worked for the Lawyer’s Professional Indemnity Company, the errors and omissions arm of the Law Society where he later moved onto their title insurance division, TitlePLUS. After working at TitlePLUS for some five years, he worked as counsel, business development for Stewart Title, a leading title insurance company in Canada and in the United States for both its residential and later commercial title insurance divisions. Following his work at Stewart Title, in 2008, Jonathan entered private practice where he has practiced extensively in the areas of residential and commercial real estate and leasing, wills and estates and corporate/commercial work including asset and share purchase transactions, joint venture, shareholder agreements and incorporations both provincially and federally.

Having known Jonathan ever since he started working for TitlePLUS, and having had the opportunity in working on opposing real estate transactions when he was in private practice, it is truly a pleasure to now have Jonathan work at our firm, both as a lawyer and a friend.
